Choose the Record Holder
For county custody questions, contact the Allegan County Sheriff's Office & Corrections Center at 640 River Street, Allegan, MI 49010, or call 269-673-0500. The public lobby is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Corrections staff remain on duty at all times.
Existing Sheriff's records, including release or booking-photo material, go to the Undersheriff as FOIA coordinator at the same address. Call 269-673-0402 or fax 269-673-0406. The county also accepts written requests through its JustFOIA route.
The correct destination depends on the kind of release or record:
- For a released person or county release record, begin with the full Allegan search and records path.
- For post-release supervision, use Allegan probation and parole and the office at 640 River Street, Suite 2, 269-673-0360.
- For a same-day custody change, follow the 24-hour release fallback; Allegan publishes no recent-release feed.
- For an expected date or notice, compare projected release with the VINELink inmate search.
- For an adult jail, Youth Home, or treatment-center matter, use the facility pages in the footer and observe juvenile privacy limits.
